The Apostolic Visitation of Institutes Women Religious in the United States has made a change in its communications staff. Sister Kieran Foley, F.S.E., has been named assistant for communications, replacing Sister Eva-Maria Ackerman, F.S.G.M., who has returned to her community for a new assignment.

Sister Eva-Maria has returned to the Provincialate of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George in Alton, Ill., where she has been assigned several communications projects as well as to assist in preparations for an upcoming provincial chapter.

“Sister Eva-Maria will be missed as the faithful and cheerful voice and face of the Apostolic Visitation,” said Mother Clare. “I wish her well in her new assignment and thank her and her community for the generous service she provided to American women religious through the Apostolic Visitation.”

Sister Kieran is a member of the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist in Meriden, Conn. She holds masters degrees in education from New York University and in organizational behavior from the University of Hartford. She has served as an organizational consultant, technology consultant, and a web designer for both religious and secular institutions. A native of Iowa, Sister Kieran has served her community as a project leader throughout the United States and in the Holy Land.

“Sister Kieran’s experience and commitment are bound to be a tremendous support for the Apostolic Visitation in its efforts to communicate its activities and address questions,” said Mother Clare. “I will depend on Sister Kieran’s help with confidence and thank her and her superior for this important assignment.”
